No Sign of Laying Geese

Some random thoughts for the sixth day of Christmas.

~ New Christmas tradition - waffles and peppermint ice cream for breakfast.  How genius is that?!  Team Jayla give the best presents. :-)

~ Speaking of the best presents, Epic Mickey kinda rocks.  (that said - Sarah, do you think you could send Trevor up this way for a while?  It's also kinda kicking my butt.)

~ Love the part where we had a foot or so of snow for Christmas.  Not so much the part where the temperature hasn't gotten above freezing since it stopped snowing.  Every time my car starts I do a little happy dance.  (On the other hand, she is lacking a passenger side door panel now.  Blargh.)

~ Holy crap there's a lot of stuff to do to get Primary ready for a new year.  On the plus side, I will be the only one in the presidency who knows all the Sunbeams' names next week . . . of course, I've only gotten a handful of the other kids' names down.  Working for Disney totally ruined me when it comes to remembering names.

~ Pretty sure Netflix was invented so that people could marvel over just how young a certain Mark-Paul Gosselaar was in 1989.  And the epic-ness that was Richard Dean Anderson's mullet.  Sometimes I wish I remembered a bit more of the '80s.

I defy you to come up with a more brilliantly hysterical video.  Seriously.

  1. I'll send him your way. He's currently working on EM 2 right now. I was playing and he was getting frustrated because I wasn't doing what he wanted me to do. "No, MOM, you don't do that!" "Mom, you're not very good at this game." I'm sure he would love to give you some tips.

    1. I could definitely use them! Right now I'm stuck in Tomorrow City (the one where you turn on the People Mover). I started off pretty good, but now I'm totally using an online walk-through . . . which mostly just means that now I know what I'm leaving behind on each level because I can't figure out how to successfully hop across a bunch of sinking toys without falling into the thinner ocean. Blargh. Let's just say I have very unpleasant memories of climbing Oswald's Junk Mountain. On the other hand, I'm totally geeking out over all the old school characters and cartoons, and if I ever do manage to finish we have to get EM 2 if for no other reason than because Oswald talks. :-)

I remember when I was about Trevor's age my mom would always come to me whenever something went wrong with our computer and my dad wasn't home. It's a little unnerving to be on the other side of the coin now . . . I keep telling myself it's because we have an old tv from DI and it's, like, twenty inches smaller than the size of tv the game developers had in mind and someday when we get a forty inch tv it'll suddenly be easier. Of course, now we can never get one because it will shatter all my delusions, lol.
